It may be just an early access/alpha, but it's pretty excellent. Basically DayZ blended with Minecraft in a surprisingly effective manner. Much more challenging than Minecraft, much scarier feeling than DayZ.

The whole "apocalyptic survival first person crafting" thing has somehow become a genre with a dozen or so entries recently, but this really seems like it could be the genuine article. It's much more straightforward than Rust, and a lot more polished than any of the other attempts at this I've seen of late.

Anybody else pick it up? Multiplayer is still being improved, but there is a functioning version that they suggest for up to 8 players. Could be fun!
I picked it up earlier this year, played around in multiplayer with Moonray. I haven't really played it in a few months, so a lot of the updates are still new to me.
We should definitely get together for some multiplayer, it'd be great fun. :D

Excellent, Sparky :-D

In my "learning the game" playthrough I'm basing myself out of the Spillway Cabins, and it seems like a good place to be - very central, easy access to major supply raiding areas, but isolated enough to not get the worst of the daily hordes and to have good lines of fire. After I reach the 7th night (gotta give it 7 days, right? :-D) I'll restart a new world with regular settings instead of the easier ones I used to learn the system. Might come back to this same place though!

A couple small images, for funsies!

Decided to use the larger of the Spillway cabins as my lair:

Fortified it against attack (ongoing) and cut a 20m kill zone:

The hordes still find me sometimes:

But the defenses seem to be working:

Gah I'm still waiting for Devil may Cry to go on sale. I've been waiting for a good hack and slash.

Also I managed to get Bioshock Infinite's DLC when it went on flash sale and I definitely recommend it. Burial at Sea Episode 1 and 2 is a great extension of the Bioshock and Infinite universe although Episode 1 ended sooner then I wanted.

I've been doing well about avoiding impulse purchases this time around. So far I've only spent about 22 dollars: Batman Arkham City and Origins, and Awesomenauts are all I've bought thus far.

...game wise at least. I think i've dropped another 20-something on market stuff in the meantime.

I would recommend Dishonored to anyone who does not own it already. At $5 it's a steal.

I'm looking to craft more Summer badges.

Right now I require:
- 6
- 9

And I can give away in exchange:
- 1 (x2)
- 4 (x3)
- 7 (x4)

Today I lost control of my credit card and bought both Assassin's Creed: Black Flag and Rome II: Total War

I have an extra 9 and lack both 4 and 7 (only need one in exchange). Sent you a friend request since I apparently don't have you added yet.

I keep hoping Dark Souls II will come up at more than 33% off at some point. . .

You're not missing much waiting. Dark Souls II is a very solid and fun game but lacked that something special to keep my attention like the first one did.
PvP is even more of a joke than it was in the first as well if you ask me.
