We watched Death Wish 3 on some cable channel the other night. Charles Bronson FTW!
That movie is so terrible...it's excellent!

Re: I'd like to know everybody's favorite 80's movie
I was born waaaay after the eighties, but my Dad introduced me to eighties movies. Some of my favorites are:
Tron
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure
This is Spinal Tap
Three Amigos
Back to the Future (and number 2. I'd put the whole trilogy, but the third was in 1990.)
The Brave Little Toaster (I watched that movie to death when I was little. I saw it again on TV, and it hadn't lost any of the charm)

Re: I'd like to know everybody's favorite 80's movie
I'm a really big 80's guy (in case you couldn't tell) so I have a lot of favorites.
Labyrinth
Willow
Legend (despite Tom Cruise's appalling "acting", but Tim Curry as a big, red, sexy bastard makes up for it)
Clash of the Titans
Time Bandits
The Neverending Story
The Last Unicorn
The Return of the King (1980 Rankin/Bass animated version)
The Princess Bride (Mawwage!)
The Dark Crystal (a lot of "the"s)
The Secret of Nymh
Obviously I love Fantasy.
Evil Dead 1 & 2 (the ED/Army of Darkness Trilogy is actually my favorite of all time)
Big Trouble in Little China (INDEED!)
They Live (Best. Fight Scene. Ever!)
Troll (NOT the sequel! Worst. Acting. EVER!)
Ghoulies and Ghoulies 2
Obviously I'm a fan of B Movies as well.
Monty Python's The Meaning of Life
History of the World Part 1
Beetlejuice
Spaceballs (THE FLAMETHROWER!)
Caddyshack
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (it may have been released in March 1990, but it was definitely an 80's film. Too soon to truly be 90's. And let's face it, it does not get much more 80's than Ninja Turtles!)
The Lost Boys (my favorite modern-day vampire flick, and man, are there some sexy Mullets!)
Robocop
Die Hard (quite possibly the inspiration for Counter-Strike)
Conan the Barbarian
and I'm getting exhausted trying to think of everything else. I'm gonna have to stop here cuz this is eating up a lot of time, heh. Hrm, wonder if Big Trouble in Little China is on TV right now.

Re: I'd like to know everybody's favorite 80's movie
just remembered another one; Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, the film that introduced me to Twisted Sister!
And also showed me how friggin' cool Snakes are! And just how scary stop-motion animation can really be!
I mean, c'mon, I can't be the only one who's still freaked out by the Large Marge scene!

I'm partial to Gremlins and Porky's.

ack, how could I forget about Porky's? Pretty much the only genuinely funny and actually GOOD sexually-focused comedy out there! To this day, I darn-near die laughing every time I watch the "Tallywacker De.scription & Wanted Poster" scene (I cannot believe they did that all in a single take with those goobs laughing in the background the whole time!)
In fact, I got it on recording somewhere, I'll have to watch it soon.
And Flight of the Navigator as mentioned earlier was another fun one I forgot about. I'm surprised remembering Pee-Wee didn't remind me of it (Paul Reubens was the voice of Max)
