nasty one....zero access root kit. I have to change all passwords from a clean machine (I only have this one)so I'll have to try and do this at work tomorrow. Also have to notify my bank that I might be a victim of identity theft. If you see anything weird from me on the servers or the forums, it's not really me.
I have to formatte and start all over. What a hassle.

I had a tough rootkit trojan of some sort a long time back and my dad had to completely wipe my harddrive from a safe machine to get it off, but it seems like that was not nearly as bad as what happened to you.

That stinks man. Identify theft can turn into an expensive venture to rebound from.
I know that its not something everyone has but I suggest using a virtual machine if you are downloading risky stuff. At least your root machine does not get affected.

At least your computer still works. I got something a year ago or so that corrupted my master boot record and bricked my hard drive.

I had something like that too Blah. It was on Windows XP and just booting from the CD and selecting recovery, I was able to run FIXMBR.
