[Custom Campaign] Haunted Forest

Post by TTHREAZ » Sat Oct 30, 2010 1:17 pm

So, the latest Valve endorsed custom campaign is a fright. It's a tad short at 3 maps but you can tell the author spent a lot of time in it. It's definitely one of the more polished custom campaigns that we've seen Valve endorse.

The atmosphere is fantastic. I won't give anything away but there are a lot of nice touches that will keep you on your toes. I'd have to say Map 2 is my favorite simply because of the custom content in it. Of all of the custom campaigns we've seen, this one definitely gets you in the mood; not only for zombie killing but for Halloween itself.

So, has anyone else tried it yet? If not, you can grab it HERE

I did this one a few weeks back, the doors that arent doors and the content thats just there to mess with you really intrigued me. I think the finale could have been done better, Roirdan fell right into the first pit and it took the rest of us a minute or two to figure out where to climb down.

Otherwise, it was a lot of fun.

I agree. The finale was a little bit of a letdown after building tension in map 2. Map 2 is just, uh, you'll have to see.

I, too, fell in the first pit and didn't even know what had happened.

I downloaded it (thanks, T!) and would love to give it a shot sometime if anyone is up for it.

Anyone want to get a campaign on this tonight, say after the Walking Dead premier ends? (1030 VST)?
