Trying to keep the cube rolling with some fresh real estate...

alpha1 release for testing purposes with gameplay.

Question I need looked at:

- the 2nd story of the corner itself, good/bad/could be better?

- Do we wanna spawn the cube under the corner or on the 2nd story?

- map needs optimizing, will be working on that along with details

other than that, it's pretty simple.

Me likey! Me want to play! I like the unorthodox shape too, really means you'll have to fight for it instead of try for a desperate longshot downfield.

Oh man, I foresee tons of deaths under the corner. With it being a 90 degree corner, it will take some work to get it out from under there. In the meantime, tons of people will perish in there. :shock:

Well, then, if there's a huge scrum under there, I'll just wait on top until the cube comes out and score. :P

EDIT: Oh, and engineers. UGH! I know I'll get shot down but why have them? I'm more in the "play the cube" camp so they annoy the hell out of me. Whenever I see a sentry I moan and put on a huge FROWNY FACE. :evil:

yeah same

Maybe put a no build on top, but you could put a small ammo crate for people to just refill and go.

Alpha 2:

- rearranged the corner to be smoother in transitions through there by widening a few spots

- added some small health/ammo in spawn... you're still better off getting health/ammo from the cube though!

- added brushes under the spawns to keep the cube from getting under there.

- adjusted player clipping to keep demomen on the map

Love the new map, especially the fix to keep the cube from going under spawn, that happened a lot.

The map is nice and tall, which is good for jumping demos, but it can be tricky to get the cube into the relatively tiny goal. I don't know what could be done to fix this, but I know I've knocked the Cube behind the goal more times than I've gotten it in the goal :D

yes the cube getting knocked under spawns was quite annoying, glad its fixed.
