I think hidden players are just people whose activity has dropped to 0% and so their stats become inactive/hidden but as soon as they connect again their stats are active/viewable again?

or it could be a player's name - hidden players and they have alot of kills ...

I like you explanation a whole lot better than what my paranoid mind was thinking.
