COOP Update

-- Improved checking for Steam Group membership - this is the cause of the lag when someone joins the server
-- GasMan gas now does the same damage as Infected's knife

By that you mean gasman gas causes you to become infected? Because I have noticed that I'm infected all the time now by him. The first time I noticed was when I was climbing out of spawn ramp and I was already infected and the only zombie to greet me was gasman. Do gasman pills prevent infection as it used to prevent damage?

Yes.
Which makes them more useful than before.

Added to CoOp

-- Flags can only be capped in sequence.

I was on tonight, and everyone sent out people to different areas of the map and all capped together....which is great except there are not enough Zombies to cope with that.

Nope, still there. I am stuck at 3222 points 'til next upgrade. Resets whenever the map changes. Or I log out, and then back on.

I got all the way down to 2500-ish until next upgrade this afternoon, only to have it reset this evening.

I SHOULD have ~29000 points. I have less than 27000.

My points are counting properly now.

Obviously the drops were changed. It's harder now with less shield/ammo/health drops. I'm getting good at running around with the MG42 just freelancing. LOL.

The drops were changed because of the predictability of the whole damned thing.
Now when a drop occurs, it can bring up anything at all...
There are also fewer ammo drops because people don't need them when there are more than 6 players - every player has an ammo drop anyway - so this encourages them to communicate.

Interestingly, CoOp is way more popular than Versus....

I have a theory. Since you can earn "perks" by playing coop, it's more fun to play. I would like to see more health and ammo drops - I'm pretty stingy with ammo use, and I still run out every now and then. Health because both Gasman and Infected drain health. Or, if not health, then zombie blood.

After I win all my power-ups, I want guns that shoot flaming bullets! :)

AL3X has already asked me what happens when you get to the last upgrade (currently Epic Airstrike)

I have more upgrades coming up plus a re-organization.

I am going to swap Shields with Airstrikes, because airstrikes, while glorious to watch, aren't that effective. So swapping them with Shields (which are very effective) makes more sense. Apologies to people who have just earned Shields.

Upgrades after that include:

1. Upgrades to Primary Weapons that will make Zombies drop ammo instead of random.
2. Upgrades to Secondary Weapons that will make Zombies drop health instead of random.
3. Zombie vision to see through walls for a short period of time
4. Extra health pack at spawn
5. Power up to make Zombies ignore you - need a name for it!

May I suggest Shun, Indifference and or Ignore. All preceded with with the prefix of Zombie. But how is this different then the effect of zombie blood? How about instead of ignoring you, they fear you and run away? Haven't seen that behavior displayed outside of a human. Might be funny to see a whole host of zombies, including the UNG, running away in a panic. Can that even be done with the source engine?

If you combine upgrade 3 & 5 you basicly have zombie blood with the added bonus that you don't take any damage and the visual effects. Makeing it more common be cool.
For health can the large pill bottle and yes the one that used to to be UNG drop be reintroduced:).
One more thing is If you have unlocked both airstrike and shield can it be set to which one you want it to default or default to the better one. It becomes a bit annoying to press 45 every time I spawn to get sheld if it's unnecessary.
