I just finished playing with VOC and others on Server IV . Very creative programming and a novel gaming approach. It's tough and fun in a weird way--for a little while anyway. Maybe have that as a random drop in between several rounds of the tradition Zombie game that we so love.

really enjoyed, a few things i noticed.

maybe make the earlier guns easier to upgrade, either lower points totals or higher possible points for specials etc. (i noticed people leaving very early on as the were struggling with colt)

maybe points for been on the flag during cap out.

couldnt give ammo to people with the colt.


also a points till upgrade counter would be better than a count up, as people didnt seem to know how many points were needed.

Some thing else I noticed, the Z's seem to not gravitate toward the flag during the last few sec. of the timer.

Nice thoughts, folks

You are supposed to get points for capping, but it doesn't show. I'll look into it.

Changed the points thing showing points to next unlock - nice idea VOC

Lowered P38 and M1

@Ghillie - it is not possible to swap in and out of regular Versus on the same server. The programs are different. It is easier for people to simply go to the other server.

If you have any other tweaks, let me know.

OK, first off:

LOVE IT!!!!

Second: It's a challenge. Getting kills with the Colt sucks. And the P38. And the M1. I have found I can dump a couple of shots into a zombie, and somebody with a Garand takes "my" kill. I can see that once you get a good primary weapon, you can really rock in this game.

It takes a while. And until then, it has a little bit of the suck. :) My knife skills help, but it would be great to have a few more health and a few more ammo drops. The UNG shield drop is excellent. Thanks!

Once I get a good weapon, I think I'll be able to consistently do well at this game. My kill stats have gone WAY down - I'm down to 15 kills per death. DAMMIT!!!! :)

I enjoy it. I love GunGame, and this is like that.

- It would appear the first two weapons are both the Colt - you start with the Colt, and your first unlock is the Colt again.

- Is there any way to make the number of points needed to get an upgrade appear on screen, instead of just in the menu when you die?

- The biggest issue for me starting new, with the lowest weapons, wasn't lack of power. It was lack of ammo. I spent most of the game running around with a knife because there were no ammo boxes, and the only way to refill was to die and cost my team a ticket.

- We had a couple occurences of Palermo not loading the mod correctly (no zombies, no weapon limitations).

Ah..no. The second weapon after the Colt is a P38, which to all intents and purposes is the same as a Colt, except it has one more bullet!

DODS doesn't have any cool features like TF2 that allow you to write on the screen...maybe center text, but that's it.

I have upped the ammo by a lot!

Hmmmm....will investigate Palermo.

First weapon was the Colt, second weapon was the Colt. Third weapon was the P38. Currently grinding the 200 kills needed to get whatever comes after it.

Mentioned the double Colts on server, and one of the other players said he'd had the same thing occur.

Small update tonight:

-- When knifed by an Infected One, your skin changes to the Infected's
-- Shields and Airstrikes have been added to the unlocks
-- Shields now come in three flavours - Mark I, Mark II and Mark III which all have different delays
-- Air Strikes come in four flavours - short, medium, long and epic
-- Fixed stupid bug on menus with unlocks
-- Fixed a bug where the Emo would get teleported by the Grey Dude
-- Added an indicator that tells you how many points you earned
-- Headshots now earn you extra points

Some players have reached shield unlocks already - mind blown...

What are your thoughts on having one more flag to cap?
