There used to be a place where you could send a server message like "Please watch your language", but I can't remember where to find the way to do that.

There has been a LOT of cussing on the servers lately.

Not that I mind, dammit. But The Ville does have rules by which folks must abide...

Only admins have the ability to trigger the various types of server messages. Without admin access, either voice or text chat is the only tool I believe is available.

Sorry to hear there have been issues - I'll try to drop in on the server a bit more in the near future to help out.

NOt only swearing but alot of team wounding/killing has been going on.

Is there a particular time it seems like it's worse? Spent some time an hour or two in there this afternoon without trouble, but it seemed like most of the server was regs.

i dont know i have a few busy days with no gaming time and it all goes to pot.

can i suggest if theres no admins on server, have a look on friends list theres usually one of us online. if that fails grab as much info on them as you can ie.name, steam id, server, time and what is happening even a demo is useful. Then open a ticket in the complaints dept.

I dont know about the swearing - but the intentional team wounding/killing that I have seen appears to be by non-regulars, names that I have not seen before. One time there were even 2 guys with same clan tag set up outside allied spawn mowing ppl down as they left spawn. Doesnt seem to be at any particular times and has been intermittent.

Is there a way to perhaps auto-ban people who accumulate lets say 5 or 8 or more unforgiven team kills in a session? that might help enforce the rules. I mean usually the regs on there will point out rules and warn the people to stop....but if they are not regs on the server i doubt they worry about being banned by a lter submitted ticket.

Anyhow - just my thoughts early this morning

the server should auto ban for accumulated t/ks.

As Carrot says, the server will auto ban after 5 unforgiven TKs.
And it is permanent too.

Is there a way for the stats to track team wounding? That in my opinion would make it easier to track the bad guys down; then spank them and send them on their merry way.

'l4dod_status' in console is the only way currently.
I'll think about the TW in stats and see if I can get it to record...

I'm probably blind or something... but I can't seem to find a thread or sticky with the info I'm looking for. One being how does the rocket home-in onto zombies. I found out today since someone asked and I heard that you need 500 bucks. And i'm suggesting maybe you put that some where so people know (or once again, I'm probably blind). Also I'm wondering what other cash benefits there are? If there are any other.

On a side note, I do believe there is some Bull honkie (censoring meself here) with the Stats, I say this because if you look at them.... 84,864:45 KDR .... 68,219:7 KDR..... and this being the kicker, 59,014 : "0" Seriously? Zero deaths? Can someone please smack these numbers off the board? Because I use to play zombies bots on [NotD] (for those who know what that is on CSS) (the old one about 2~3 years ago before all the trolls rolled in) and there was a strict no exploiting rule on the bots, meaning no camping high places like boxes or something where the zombies "Can not" reach/hit you. (pretty sure you have the same or similiar rule. I'm guessing...hoping)

Items such as the homing rockets are posted in the forum as Dog breaks down the updates. I think his intention was to give human zombies with over $500 homing immunity.

As far as the cussing and TK/TWing, I agree it gets bad sometimes. About the time I get ready to message, Alizee or VOC pop on. It magically stops. I think they know the rules and the admin. The worst is usually when a couple of people come on wearing the same tags. They start with wounding each other and then move onto the rest of us. We'll keep you posted as we see it.
