Relax, there is always the survival mode where ff is off. Thats a great server too!

Also, knobs are everywhere! some don't need ff on to annoy the crap outta you. If you sign up as a supporter I think you may get to know of an option which will help with getting rid of people like that especially if they are doing it to everyone.

Two people were banned last night for being unable to control their friendly fire urges.
So it is not as bad as I thought it would be.
It will filter out the plonkers...

Glad to know the server's taking care of some things. Also, you can request the ability to !votekick--I know that tool's proven quite useful when I've been playing. There're jerks everywhere some days it seems like--don't have to use it for a week and then all of the sudden you have to kick 3 people in a day. Still, it's nice to have!

Don't forget that the server will kick a player for tks if a player is punished for tks enough times. Serial tk'ers will get booted. I think you need to be punished 5 times for tks before you get booted?

There's really no need for votekicking most of the time. It just leaves things open for 'admin wannabes' to throw their weight around, just because they don't like the way another player plays the game, or because they think another player has broken server rules as they interpret them.

There're some people on the American servers, at least, who I've seen leave and reenter when they near the TK limit. Sometimes, being able to step in is quite useful

you can also call in an admin, there is usually someone available, if there is not take their details steam id etc. and pop it in the complaints depatment, demos are useful to.

1st time poster here, G`day guys, i think this is a great game, thx game providers/admins etc, i just wanted to add my voice to the ff thing, i`m not a fan of ff on (ok i really hate it), while some blokes genuinely like it and play as it should be played, some blokes camp the whole game in a safe position without helping in objective taking, and then theres the endless, endless injuring /team killing, if its not to difficult maybe we could have a comprimise, ff on one week, ff off the next.

Let's see how FF on works, for a while.
I'm monitoring it.

One thing we've noticed is that FF does filter out people who you don't really want on the server, for one reason or another.
As for campers....DoDS has been afflicted with campers since the game came out. Fortunately, it is fun running around looking for the campers, as a Zombie. In fact, I like to target them specifically.

There are loads of reason why FF can be a good feature:
1. It help focus people's skills.
2. Strangely enough, it focuses teamwork
3. It gives the Zombies a little edge - I say little because the FF damage is 0.2x what the actual FF damage would have been on a normal DoDS server.
4. Things are edgier...
5. Zombies have generally lower health and thus easier to kill

Can we please have FF back on the XI AUS server?

It's really making zombie play a lot less fun. Now the Allies are back to the old spray'n'pray tactic, which means they can simply spray amongst themselves with impunity to shoot the zombies.

The no zombie spawn near an Allied and the no attack delay on spawn makes it difficult to prevent a flag cap, but hey, it's a challenge, and that's ok. But add the no FF on top of those, then it becomes completely frustrating and no fun.

That's one feature I miss, simply because it means the emo has to have a bit of tact where he sets off.

The problem is that the number of Zombies available to shoot gets quickly depleted and we don't want that, do we?
