Cannot connect to L4DODs Server

Post by EU6ENE » Sat Dec 18, 2010 12:16 am

I suppose there's a recent update to DODS and as a result I cannot connect to the L4DOD Server.
Any other server that I have check is fine. Everytime I attempt to connect I receive a pop-up that marks "The Server you are trying to connect to is running an older version of the game" Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Would like your suggestions.

Welcome to the forums. :)

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to fix this error. You'll have to wait for the servers to be updated. Sometimes the changes to the game cause L4DoD and other mods to break, so it may take a while to get that fixed.

Oii truly unfortunate. L4DOD is the only server and game I play. Just to clarify, once the server is updated I can connect without any problems. Is there a way for me to download the older version of the game? Thank you for your response btw.

A SourceMod extension called SDKHooks.
It's used everywhere.
It allows programmers to 'hack' into the main program and access VALVe code.

When a major update comes out, usually this happens.

I did not see the SURVIVAL L4DOD server turned on tonight. Is that because you are working on it? Thanks for all the hard work on these servers, you've done a great job.

I've turned off Survival mode, temporarily.
It has a lot of game-play bugs and exploits I need to fix.

The rounds are far too short, the Allies need more health and I need to figure out what to do when Allied numbers get down to 2 or 3, since it is impossible for them to win by capping the flags.
I still don't want to use timers, unless I have no other options.

Once again thank you for your hard efforts. It is a server I love. Sometimes with 2-5 people you need 2 people to cap and when you have 6-8 people you only need one. Is there a way to switch it around?

Capping on survival is a pain when you have 3 humans and only 2 want to cap. We have to wait for #3 to get whacked to cap. I would like only 2 required to cap when there are 3 or more humans. Require 3 to cap when there are 5 or more humans. One to cap if there are 1 or 2 humans. Could you also go back to pills on the first in line to cap, and add health to the other caps? I still get kills that are 0 points. Could you add points that are 0 please?

Thanks,

Rustie

Yeah. it should be doing that but doesn't.
I'll add it to my list of fixes for Survival

As for zero point zombies....the stats reset in January 1, 2011.
The Zombies all start with 1000 pts again.

Just got home from work and it doesn't look like the stats have restarted. I'm not really complaining as I'm about to pass out for about 12hrs. or so, just reporting.
Furthermore, sorry for adding to the huge "to do" list you already have. :(

See you all soon...

Nevermind, they're reset again. So sorry.
