Re: TVR Soccer Tourney
Hammer mentioned something about the games not running the way you wanted, JB. Anything we should be aware of that will be different Oct. 11 than in pool play?

Re: TVR Soccer Tourney
We talking damage penalties for distance from the Cube? Should we really be changing the format of the tournament halfway through it...? That could kill people's strategies. People like TheCarpe.
Wait.

Well this was the plan the whole time. The thing is that that loser ike kept me from refing. The thing that is changing is that I will be there and be there to advise the admins on rules. This is like modernday soccer not that stuff the aztecs played back in the day.
YES the cube will be the key. There will be penalties for not playing the cube and making it a deathmatch. Killing means no fun!
I have played a fair amount of cube soccer, and while i totally agree it shouldnt be a DM contest, however, there are valid reasons for attacking a player away from the cube ...ie: killing a dedicated goalie to open the goal for a score.
I sincerely hope no major adjustments are made for the finals.
I suggest save the changes for Cube Soccer II
just my opinion
I know this is your baby JB, but there is something to be said about changing things midstream. there were some general rules posted in the original post...no spies, no engys etc....if there was to be no dm'ing and there would be penalties for breaking that rule...that sounds like something that should have been spelled out clearly at the beginning, not something to be changed in the middle of the contest.TheCarpe wrote:Should we really be changing the format of the tournament halfway through it...?
