Why do people just...yell gibberish lfor 2 maps like an idiot in the mic?

because they're idiots usually.

just ask them to stop, if they dont, mute them or report them. theres always going to be people who get off on been a pain, but spamming the mic is easy to rectify.

I forget how to mute someone....

I remember you used to be able to double click their name on the scoreboard, but I think that has changed.

Anyone care to enlighten me?

You can go into Player List, and mute an individual from there.

Go into the player list in the menu

here are the steps


1. Push the esc button
2. click on player list
3. find the persons name
4. highlight it
5. click the mute button

i just hit the console key, then close the console and click on player list which is behind the console window. then click on the player and tick the mute in game voice, and resume game. not sure how to do it if they dont show up on player list.

This guy was mic spamming way too much. I gave Beeron a demo of him. He was mic spamming for at least 3 maps just yelling "I like Tacos" like a retard.

All kidding aside, most mic spammers I've run into sound like they're drunk, stoned, or altered in some form or another, and more often than not will drop the F-bomb frequently. Would be nice to be able to mute them at their end so nobody would have to hear it. Anyone got a spare Cruise Missile?
