I know the idea was to stop resetting stats on a monthly basis. But it has been several months. Any chance on a stat reset like quarterly ( once very 3 months )?

How about an archive page for the top players ? Something like:

Top 25 players for the months of May - July ?

That way the players who worked so hard to get in the top 25 ( or 50, or whatever would be decided ) could keep their achievement of being a top player imortalized. I know a lot of players work hard to get into the top 25 / 50 , etc. and would be against a stat wipe for this very reason. But to archive the stats would take away the pain and frustration of that.

I just think a clean slate is in order..... please, please, please.

I wish there was a way to keep your daily awards. Those are always amusing to look at.

When stats are reset, that list goes poof.

Any particular reason the reset's being requested? I'm just another player, not in any power to do anything, I'm just curious. There's still heaps of mobility in the top 100 and such. Resetting for the sake of resetting seems kinda random.

I concur! You should reset them quickly, before Vivian passes me!

I'd like to see a reset so a few new names could drift towards the top. It took me several weeks of absurd playtime to even get near the top (since I started late, curses!), I imagine it must be worse now that we've breached 100,000. A lot of the old top folks have gone inactive, too. We need fresh faces!

I'm not one to ask for change for the simple fact of change. A stat wipe would provide:

- A new / fresh challenge for all to fight their way to the top

- show players how they are currently playing ( removing stats that are months old )

- give new players a chance to rank higher

- better reflect how a player ranks ( kind of like my #2 reason )

... and any other reason that I may have missed.

I don't care either way. I wouldn't mind rankings being by pts/time played though.

As it is now, more time = higher ranking. Some of us actually have to work for a living...

I like the idea of recording the top 50 somewhere, even if its just a simple post......

I brought this idea up a while back. I think the final thought was that it could not be done by the stats program.

But yes, total points divided by play time would give you PPH ( Points Per Hour ) and would better reflect the server's top players. Even if it was just a column on the stats page that you could click and sort by that ( keeping the default listing by total points ). I would love to see everyone's Points Per Hour as I think I would rank up there.
