Flame thrower sentry
I could see this working good in certain situations
..too bad it's just someone's modeling experiment

if you think about it logically, the flamethrower sentry is just a terrible, terrible concept.
It has no long range so any class would be able to take it out(i don't see a flamethrower shooting over 10 feet)
The only way i could see it working is if it has wheels and the engineer can drive it around via remote control, or if it follows the engineer around.

Flame sentry = Pyro sentry
You'd seriously have to re-consider sentry placement.
Consider this: an ambush sentry when you leave a door, setting you ablaze.
It would either have to be able to take more damage than a regular sentry or deal more damage than a regular fire burst in order to make up for its easily destructible design flaw - it can't shoot far.
How about pairing it with a regular sentry?
It's got more potential than your giving it.

Of you put it around a corner, its one where it would have to do like more than pyro crits the entire time or something.
it would be awesome though

It would be neat if you could like, put it behind a regular sentry, or if it was part of a regular sentry, but you had to activate it with like the right-mouse-button. Like a sticky grenade...so if you feel a spy roaming around or if someone calls out "SPY" then you could hit it and it would spin and shoot fire in a circle...in order to make it fair though, the ammo would have to go extremely fast.

Re: Flame thrower sentry
What is with all the spy hate? A pyro sentry that detects spies... hahaha
This gun is pretty much for show.
It is useless for anything else and lacks the range I love from a regular sentry gun.
