btw, steam community CANNOT be disabled when running TF2, or before, its always on, even if its "marked disabled" in settings.

What it's doing Mujo ? Mine seemd to be running fine. I think the file transfers were messed up lastnight might try what I wrote about verifing your files. It goes through them and fixes anything thats messed up. .

Yeah and it looks like thats were it gets your name from as well as you can't change it in game anymore. Well as of right now you can't anyways unless it's a setting in the server cfg.

I did all that stuff you said simple, before I even played. I had this problem before running DOD:S. I blame it ont he community crap. All my driversare updated. I keep crashing with looping sounds.

WHen I had steam community ingame disabled, i never had the problem. Now I can't disable it, thanks to valve, and I keep crashing. Seven years of waiting, yipee

...and you did the "verify game cache" thing? That fixed some problems on DoD:S for me in the past.

Well I'm sure they will have plenty of updates here in the next few days. You could report a bug to them and let them know that it's not disabling it when you click it. .

You probably tried it Mujo, but did you quit and restart steam after you changed the setting?
