Players in Permanent Taunt
I don't know if it's still happening but I've been seeing players fighting normally but their character model is either taunting or conga'ing, similar to the old taunt bug except permanent and they can shoot. It's frustrating in many ways.
Is this something that is client side and a bug? Or is it something the player is doing to cause it (an exploit).
I just would like to know:
- Exploit or client bug?
- (If an exploit) I assume it's against the rules so should it be reported?
I've seen people who play the ville often having their character doing this so I'm just hoping it's a client bug and it's been/going to be patched.
Thanks for clarification!

I've seen it frequently too. I always thought it was an exploit (since I think the old taunt thing was done with a script) but now I think this is a client issue. Anyone else know?
It's very annoying because you can't see what weapon they have out and can't see if they are reloading. Getting headshot by a sniper doing a conga dance is kinda funny though.

I'm almost certain this is a client side issue. Next time you see someone stuck in a taunt, try recording a demo. That should fix it.

It's a client side issue that has to do with players in a taunt pose when the round ends. Sparky is right; recording a demo fixes it.

It is rather funny when it happens:
It's a client side bug that still hasn't been fixed. The only real issue I find with it is that players stuck in taunt animations/poses don't sync up with their hitboxes, making snipering them a nightmare.

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

That being said there is also a glitch that you can use to be in the permanent taunt. It involves taunting at the exact right moment when the previous round end.
It can also mess with the hitboxes making it far harder to get headshots

Yea I suppose you could trigger it intentionally but if the demo record solves it that's a decent solution for the time being.maninamask wrote:That being said there is also a glitch that you can use to be in the permanent taunt.
