Mentors/Mentees?

It was brought up in another thread about how there are players who would like to learn about TF2. As in, how to play it better.
Around here we have a collection of experienced players of all classes and, provided people had time to commit, could pass on the skills we've spent year( s) on improving. I know for one I have a LOT of soldier experience I wouldn't mind passing on to someone else if they had the desire to learn it.

I would just like to see some numbers on the interest people have. Also, please leave feedback on how you think it would best be done.

From what I'm thinking right now it would something like one on one mentoring for a specific class, but it doesn't have to be. I wanna hear some input so input away!

I would love to have some tutoring in rocket jumping. I'm not very good at distance...just height.

I think I may know of a beetle to help me....

I can give some medic pointers.

As to rocket jump height, I highly suggest trying the crouch-jump method Fano has mentioned, improved my rocket jump height considerably. Now I can jump up onto the bridge on center point of warpath reliably.
And yeah, my distance jumping is pretty unreliable too, accidentally killed myself during deployment during the warpath cup by getting too much height not enough distance.

I've learned a bit about being a pyro. I could give a few tips.

Sure why not, but we should also do this for SMNC since when I started playing SMNC I had no idea how to play.

I chose the general mentoring because I like to give the framework but leave space for each individuals unique approach. Everybody developes their own play style, but it really helps if you have the essential parts of the game to focus on. Most of my experience before tf2 was in CS, TFC & DoD, and the essentials are the same in all of them.

I'm always up for helping people in any way I can, anyone can hit me up on steam (profile below my avatar), I mostly play soldier although I can probably give tips on most combat classes.

Also read my guide and absorb all that information as well :P

I would be happy to help somebody with soldier/sniper/medic. In desperation I have a fair amount of demo or pyro wisdom if someone wanted a general set of help.

I've learned a lot about Demo over the last few months through self-training, specifically how to lay and employ effective sticky traps (especially regarding Ubers), as well as a little bit about effective sticky-jumping. I can lend a hand to anyone who's interested.
