I was very confused by those crates. With this knowledge I'm sure that my in-game experience will be magnified ten-fold.

If you don't want 'em, those of us who do business with the scammer will happily take them off your hands for you

Haha nice Stevo!

But I'm with Alizee Fan, they have value in their ability to be traded if nothing else. Shoot, save up several of them and you could probably reap a nice bounty from someone willing to spend the money to open them all.

What to do with supply crates:
1. Trade to people who want them
2. Get polycount items from them
3. ???
4. PROFIT!!
Also stevo I want you to narrate more videos.

Seems to me the same people who would buy 50-50 or raffle tickets would buy a key to open a crate.
I love taking a chance, and I don't mind supporting the game that has given me so much over the years. Send me your crates, I'll gladly open them (and keep the contents

)

I just got my third one since the update (I'm extremely annoyed that they eat up a random drop) and have two left to trade. If anyone wants one or both I'll trade them for anything. My issue is that the TF2 store is that it's way over priced ($2.49 per key, $50 for the Polycount set), not that they have it. That said, they clearly got their inspiration from "Free 2 Play" games.

Anything? Like any random weapon? Find me on steam.
Also according to the TF2 Wiki: "Dropped crates do not count as part of the weekly drop cap. The crate drops are managed by a completely independent drop timer according to Robin Walker."

Yeah, I'll take any crates people want to get rid of.
I got a white paint last night, which isn't available in the store, paying $2.49 for a much better chance at some unusual items than standard drops is OK by me.
