Not an action shot, and I'm far more proud of this than I ought to be, but...not bad for a #1,000+ ranked wet-eared noob who showed up last week, right?
#1,225 vs. #1....as I said, I've imbued this with way more significance than it actually deserves. Still a nice morale boost, and it's great to play and learn from some of the game's recognized greats.

To be fair, the GameME ranking system isn't really a show of skill, it's more or less a show of how long you've been playing with us. It gets reset on an annual basis or so.THerpDerpingtonIII wrote:Not an action shot, and I'm far more proud of this than I ought to be, but...not bad for a #1,000+ ranked wet-eared noob who showed up last week, right?

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.

It seemed as much, which is why I limited my enthusiasm. I crave quantifiable third-party skill assessment, lest I suck forever with no concept of it!Zork Nemesis wrote:To be fair, the GameME ranking system isn't really a show of skill, it's more or less a show of how long you've been playing with us. You have no idea how much satisfaction I get from the fact that Somedude will never let me go by when he ubers. He chases me down until I'm dead. Maybe he just hates me, but somewhere in the back of my head I hear the voices screaming "He thinks I'm a threat, I'm still relevant, I"M STILL RELEVANT"THE Flying chihuahua wrote:

Re: TF2 Screenies?
I've encountered my fair share of glitches, but hot damn, this one gave me massive performance issues. It looks like a particle error in which bullets that you'd be able to see weren't loading properly. Shotgun and Pistol both did it, thankfully a minigun did not.

It was basically a large explosion of red X's that hung around the location that I fired from.
Lets just say i'm checking the game files right now.
EDIT: Turns out it's an issue with walkway itself, any other map I fired a shotgun in didn't freak out like that. Bet you it's bot-related.

The robots appear to be throwing an awesome party. Why weren't we invited?
