I only organize when crafting, until then I let everything pile up, then use the sort by class and go through converting a bunch of stuff to scrap at once. Then I let drops fill the gaps once again!

ya, I organize my useful stuff on the second page in columns. You'll only find 8 columns though, spy stuff is useless to me.
