It's true, some of the videos are just god-awful and a lot more aren't relavant or within the rules. Hell, there was what appears to be a Japanese anime intro that was 3 minutes long under 'Most Inventive Kill'

If I recall, the rules stated that you were only allowed a 1-minute clip, yet under biggest massacre and mostest pwnage, there were several videos longer than one minute.

Whatever.

Anywho, two last minute submissions on my part

So many people using ugly skins or adding their 30-second logos and credits ... yuck. :\

I got this one a couple times while voting. Voted it up both times, I think. It was better than the stuff it was up against (though one of the ones it was up against came close, with a very similar scenario ... I had to pick this one in the end because it was a taunt kill).


Has anyone else noticed that pretty much EVERY video on a CP map immediately starts with "Alert! Our control point is being captured"? I'm starting to think it's a bug with replay rendering because it seems to be that way in EVERY clip. Too common to be a coincidence IMO. I have yet to find a CP map replay that doesn't start with that clip.

It is a bug with replay, as a lot of sound effects seem to play on replay start if they've occured sometime during the match. In my early demoman videos, you can hear the targe bash sound every time at the beginning, earlier that round I killed someone with a shield bash.

Also. on stupid/invalid movie submissions, I saw Trololo in Mostest Pwnage. Also, there's a number of videos under massacre and pwnage that well exceed the 1 minute time limit. On top of that, I saw the infamous "FYI I am a Spy" video in Mostest Pwnage. While I agree with that, the rules state that it must've been filmed after the replay update patch.
