or you can always just have an actual pyro stand next to the dispenser and have unlimited flames AND the regular functions of a sentry, plus axing capabilities.

Heck, have a Soldier stand on a Heavie's shoulders and you'll basically have two sentries and a flame-throwing-axing-sentry as well. Or a self-defending dispenser, however you wanna see it.

I bet a flame sentry would never let itself get axed by Uncivilized. :P

That would be a great comic. The pyro and the engie are sitting around in the early days, and the engie is complaining that the shotgun and pistol just ain't doing it to protect his dispensers and teleports. So the pyro is like, 'muffle muffle muffle muffle'. Then the engie has a 'great' idea.

We then see them testing their ideas. First, the flame sentry and it's not getting the job done- then they try an axe flinger- also not quite getting the job done- and the pyro just shrugs. They both look over at a heavy and soldier who have been destroying their sentries and have an 'ah ha' moment; the 'modern' sentry is born!

HuhWhat?

The only way i could see it working is if it has wheels and the engineer can drive it around via remote control, or if it follows the engineer around.[/quote]

Ahaha, that would be awesome actually. :D

i think it's weaknesses is why it could work. Very few people would use it = element of suprise.

I think on upgrading sentries to LV3, you should be able to choose a speciality... the standard rockets, more range, but slower rate of fire, or this the flame sentry-

It could have a level 1 gun attached to the flames.
That barrel has a medkit under it.

How about sharks with lazer beams attached to their heads?

Y'know what? Screw the Flamethrower!

We need an ED 209 Model!

Of course, Engineers will likely have to reverse the position of teleporters just to get the Hell out of there in case it malfunctions, but even a Spy wouldn't dare mess with this mutha!

Just don't build it near any stairs and you should be fine, heh.

I think the best idea would be a nacho throwing sentry, with the cheese slowing them down, and their forced to eat the nachos which are poisoned.

That is NACHO cheese!

I did these in a hurry, they're not quite as polished as they could be.

Also for more laughs, take a look at my other stuff.
