Yep. TYO is correct.

People have been noticing Deathstryker stacking...people deliberately trying to join whatever his team is.
Flattering to DS I'm sure but ruining games. I remember one game the other night where the map changed and the teams were the same as folk jostled to get on his team, sitting in Spec mode waiting for him to choose which team.

Unfair and it is still stacking.
As I said, I'll move him deliberately to the other team if I see it in-game. Nothing to do with friendship...

he is good no doubt.. so why don't people take the time to try to beat him instead of stacking to his side... stacking with friends gah!

Shouldn't really pick on ds by forcing him to another team. It's not like he's any more guilty of it than anyone else. I talked to ds about a week ago about team stacking and he did say he'll try to avoid it. Like dog said, a lot of times it's just people want to be on his team.

its annoying for sure, and driven me away a couple times. seems to happen all the time on warpath. but its also common, especially on clan owned servers.

i usually just try to adapt and improve the odds against me or my team. which usually means playing medic, which is fine cause i usually end up on top of the scoreboard that way :D

It's true, people want to be on DeathStrykers team because he wins games for his team. That said, I don't know what really could be done about it that would be fair to DeathStryker himself. He can't help it he's a good player.

This is why I use the "random team" button. Sometimes I end up fighting against a big group of my friends instead of helping them, but sometimes that can be just as fun.

i autoassign every time and the only time i'll change teams is if mine is smashing the other team/. this mod dog is doing should be nice and make everyone autoassign... yay for random teams!

I've seen teams comprised of some of the most regular players fail horribly to get out of the base in dustbowl, because they didn't have a medic or because the wouldn't sync up their attacks.

Class balance seems way more important in deciding who wins than the actual people on a team, at least 90% of the time.

Take Dustbowl, 2nd point. If the defending team has a bunch of demos and pyros, combined with a good medic, the offending team needs a whole more medics than just one to get out of the base alive. If they don't realize that, they lose.

Certain strategies (e.g. the trusty scout rush) need certain counters - if the opposing team doesn't realize that in time, they get steamrolled.

On some maps, a single good player can shift the balance between teams - a good sniper on warpath or dustbowl #1 can suppress nearly the entire attacking team if he's not countered.

In many cases, stacking isn't the problem, it's that one of the teams does not work as a team or does not understand how to counter specific class setups.

Part of what German is saying is true. But it's not the entire problem. I frequently see people get autobalance, which sucks, then immediately go to spec until they can get back on the other team. I'll force them back and eventually boot them off the server if they keep it up. The people I've booted didn't understand it as team stacking even after I explained it. I'm tired of the behaviour and will start banning for it not just kicking.

I try and play against my friend instead of with em. I have more fun killing them than watching them steal my kill :P hehe I never hit the random mainly bc i never look to see who is on what team.

as for DS, I do my best to NOT be on his team. I like to kill him.

and as said before, its more fun to kill someone that is a great player than not. Though it is fun to roll through 8 people as a pyro :P :D

Did someone change the game to randomly assign a team at the start, regardless of what you clicked? Happened a number of times today. Don't mind it, except that if I select spectator, I don't expect to get put on blue or red...
