I'd like to call Rinthe my worthy opponent, since chances are whenever I get blindsided by a pyro at the most inopportune moment it's him.
Unfortunately my K:D against him is only about .5

Re: Who's your "worthy opponent"?
I wish I played tf2 more to know my opponent...
I could consider my friend Mucsdnop (or mucsnuuuuu or mucsnoooooooo!) as my opponent but when we're on the same team we do act like a team.

I wouldn't name a name, but Raindrop is slaughtering me, as of late. He's a great spy. . . .unfortunately. LOL! I echo Rock N Roll in that Raindrop has made me double think my strategies for spies. Unfortunatley, I've had the lag spikes going on and Raindrop, more often than not, tends to appear on my backside when it happens. Keep up the good work, one of these days I will get my Raindrop detection radar kit and I will be onto your tricky ways.

Spaceman Spiff is an awesome opponent. Originally, I chose sniper to counter the HW and pocket med combos that dominate (or used to) tv6: the two pairs that prove the most challenging are Maj. Ghob + Soltan and Toby + Lolicakes. Though I don't pride myself of countersniping (I'm rather terrible at it), Agro just dominates me. I hit him once when he was picking his nose though.

Taco used to be my Worthy Opponent. And then it was Carpe. I have since not played much TF2, so I do not have a real "worthy opponent" right now.

Eater of Potatoes, since 2008.

I'll give raindrop a mention, for teaching me to always look on top of my own head when I'm playing paranoid engineer.

Re: Who's your "worthy opponent"?
I work well with Crimson. (And last night he had 200 points in an epic Granary match (which we won) where I was healing him about 70% of the time.)
When playing against him, I spend a lot of time working on ways to kill him in addition to anything else I'm up to.
...edited to add: I'd rather emphasize who I'm better playing with. My usual always-at-the-front-must-get-objective playstyle usually means that I can be dominated by just about anyone as I throw my multiple lives at the cap over and over again.
Besides, it's better for building teamwork to mention such.

I was in that fight, and it was pretty epic. You should've heard the chatter on our side; everyone was focusing on you two.Flaming Cheese Wheel wrote:I work well with Crimson. (And last night he had 200 points in an epic Granary match (which we won) where I was healing him about 70% of the time.)

I must admit, whenever I see Crimson on the opposing team I think to myself "time to get schooled again." Though being killed by him so many times is improving how I play Heavy.

I did manage to pull a distant second in that game (just shy of 100 points) mostly from assists heals to CSS. A good contest all around though.
Another self-observation: I'm less likely to go Kamikaze Battle Medic (and thus stay alive longer) if there are people on my team who I can trust to be very effective when they're alive. Synergy?

Re: Who's your "worthy opponent"?
Earlier that day I decided I wanted to play granary so I played for hours waiting for it to come up. When gravel pit came on (the map before granary) I went spec and ate some hot pockets. As far as the match went it was pretty crazy. I had some great support from my team especially this one guy............cant remember his name. Something about burning Jarlsberg wedge maybe?Flaming Cheese Wheel wrote:I work well with Crimson. Re: Who's your "worthy opponent"?
Flaming Cheese Wheel, I'm very similar to your playstyle. One of these days we should have a few duels, if I ever get a Dueling Mini-Game,

I've got a couple if you want one, heck I'll even give it to you free, I have no use for them.Katotsu wrote:Flaming Cheese Wheel, I'm very similar to your playstyle. One of these days we should have a few duels, if I ever get a Dueling Mini-Game,
Besides, I'm interested in who'd win as well, having seen you both play.

Somedude is always that one pyro I just dont want to fight, since he reflects all of my rockets.
Re: Who's your "worthy opponent"?
Next time I see you in game I'll ask. Hopefully we can duel while you're watching! If Flaming Cheese Wheel will agree to itOne_Medic_Army wrote:I've got a couple if you want one, heck I'll even give it to you free, I have no use for them.Katotsu wrote:Flaming Cheese Wheel, I'm very similar to your playstyle.
