The extra +1 regen is nice, but not a big improvement over standard syringe gun (my default). I likely get more ubers from the saw than most medics so the experiment will likely soon end. I definitely think the new medic helmet looks best with the procedure mask than without it.

I went back to the ubersaw. Nothing beats the ubersaw. Period. The benefits if the +1 regen are negligible.

The crossbow is kinda useless.... needs mini crits on headshot.

The new Medic helmet is awesome. :)

it doesn't. I was just remarking on the satisfaction of shooting an enemy sniper in the head (the random crits were just icing on top of the cake)

The 75hp/sec over 3 secs (~200) heal for the saw taunt is impressive... but... so many downsides:
1. doesn't heal the medic
2. free backstab/headshot
3. free attacks from any other class
4. doesn't charge your uber

you do get assist on anyone in the aura though =)

Yeah, I crit-killed a sniper with mine earlier today, very cathartic. Finally starting to get the hang of aiming it.
Also nice for healing allies at distance IF you can hit them (I've managed a few times only).

The one thing I miss is the blutsager's ability to spray at people who are closing on you, but then I just play aggressive medic alot.

Current verdict: situational, but nice on occasion. Really wish it had more damage, a faster reload, or some other method for closing the dmg gap with the syringe gun/blutsager. Also: I want a taunt.

I recently got this new Engineer Wrench via the Xmas Box. The JAG. 30% Build speed, -25% damage. I'd say it was worth th $2.49 spent to open it. =P

I don't know for sure, but I think the Ulapool Caber might have something to do with this award I got yesterday
Image

Then again, maybe i'm just nuts, since i've massed almost 200 kills with the grenade-on-a-stick in just two days.

This is hard to be cool and suave while being informative at the same time. Goddamn my coolness.
In my experience, common sense isn't too common.

Actualy no. I have to agree with zork that the Ulapool Caber is a great way to clear a point. :D

Yeah, I'm quite interested to try out the Crossbow. If it handles like the Huntsman, it'll probably become my new main.

They seem to handle in a similar fashion, but then I'm only starting to get the hang of the crossbow and I've yet to hit someone in the head with huntsman.

I seem to get more kills with the medic crossbow than I do with needles (not that I use those much anyway, definitely prefer the saw for killing). The long range healing is nice too.

I think you would. For the purposes of simply getting a kill, the crossbow is probably better. On the other hand, for saving your life when you get ambushed by a pyro, the needlegun (or better yet, blutsauger) would probably serve you better.
