Currently set for a end of 2013 release. It will be interesting how the multiplayer portion turns out, unlock process etc this time around.

It looks like the child of Battlefield 3 and Metal of Honor: Warfighter. It campaign already looks better than BF3's short and glitchy campaign. I'm glad that it doesn't look like the game has a blue tint like BF3. Gunplay looks like a short step back from BF3, looks kina stiff but maybe that's just the guy playing. The guy playing doesn't have the greatest aim. I can't wait to see multiplayer gameplay because where Battlefield is at it's best.

I can't tell the difference between Call of Duty and Battlefield anymore. What is happening to PC gaming?

I don't get why they even try to make a single player game out of it anymore.
I know WW2 was done to death before the modern shooter took hold, but I would really love a modern version of BF1942.

Battlefield 3 was so bad that there is no way I'm preordering this.

Unless they do some significant rework of the game, I doubt I will be getting this either. I did enjoy BF3, but it was seriously lacking what made Battlefield Battlefield. No commander, small squads, and poor map design really kept from making the game great.

Skipping this for a while most likely, as well

I get early beta access so I will check it out. I had a lot of fun with BF3 but if no one else is going to play I probably wont either.

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy the game, but it could have been a lot better. It really just felt like CoD with vehicles instead of Battlefield.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the battlefield franchise appears to be shovelware now.

How is it shovelware?

I found BF3 to be enjoyable for the most part. My biggest issue was that the game was dependent on Origin. I could never get my Origin install to stay stable. All would be good for a couple of weeks then I would have problems with it booting BF3.

I think my purchase will be dependent on what type of game they deliver. If it's just a CoD clone with vehicles again, I will probably pass. However, if they actually improve the game by adding VOIP and putting the Commander back, then there is a good chance I will actually buy the game again. A lot is going to depend on if the game looks more like BF2 or more like BF3.

Unless they regress back to battlefield 2, before bad company which ruined the game, I probably won't be playing this either...played CoD:MW3, looks a lot like that and I was never really a fan, just played because a friend needed a team member for whatever league he was in.
