So if you've been trying to get into SCII but just haven't, this post is for you.

So first off, there is rumor of a huge invite wave coming. A huge SCII patch is due for the end of April and that is to coincide with a full beta reset and an rumored invite wave.

The star-craft wave book been giving about 50 beta keys away a day. Through out the day they will say incoming keys in 10 minutes. In roughly 10 minutes they post a picture with keys. These keys may be written backwards, squiggly, or missing digits.

Team Liquid (the pro/elitest forum) recently got 50 beta keys. Blizzard liked the way they gave now out and just gave them 500 beta keys. Head over there for more information.

Each site rotates in giving 100 beta keys away each workday. Just sign up, enter the contest, and hope.

Will there ever be a demo? I would like to try it before I buy it but I'm not tryin to spend hours in front of my computer refreshing screens to beat people to keys.

For the facebook one: Throughout each day, they will give a notice "Incoming keys in 10 minutes". Then in roughly ten minutes they post a picture containing a handful on encrypted keys. These keys may be missing digits, written inversed or backwards or whatever games they can think of. First person to enter it into their b.net account well... gets it. So before hand you should have you b.net account management page open with the insert key here box open.

I also think I need to get the feel of SC 1. I'm on mission 8 of episode 1....i think.

If this were 2001 I'd agree with you. The C&C franchise has been dieing ever since EA took over. RA2 was the last real good C&C game to be released. And judging from the horrendous reviews of C&C4 I think I'll stay away from it.

Star Craft has always been a favorite of mine as well. I am looking forwards to SC2's release. Though I don't know if I feel like decoding codes or anything like that to get into beta. I'll just wait to get an invite or just buy it when it comes out.

Looks like Gamestop is giving out codes if you preorder. I think I will stop on the way home from work to see if I can get one.

So I heard you get a beta key for preordering at Gamestop. So my choices are: Do contests which are sometimes hard and that I'll likely lose anyway or.... $5 towards a game I'm buying anyway.

FYI guys who plan on doing the gamestop thing, there may only be a month or two left of beta. There are old timelines that have been released saying end of May and end of June. Even worse, timelines over time tend to get shorter.
