Zero Gear - Custom content modding

So I was browsing the zero gear forums and I noticed a lot of people are making custom content.

This guy made a bunch of mario characters, and is working on releasing crash characters and mario weapons.

The thing is, all players have to have it installed. Not sure how the weapons work, but for characters you'll show up as a random character is other players dont have the pack installed.
