The way I play, it sort of helps me not wander around stupidly. I use it to read and as another source for understanding what I just did in a mission. Might sound tedious, but I have had much excitement and enjoyment through this method.

I like being thorough with such expansive stories, lest I forget a detail my mind would deem important.

Well, that's awkward.

I was not expecting Tali to kill herself. This might complicate things.

They go dormant. Are you familiar with the 'War of the Worlds' story? Basically similar to that. Actually the game is very similar to that.

...Are you sure you mean The War of the Worlds? Maybe The Day the Earth Stood Still would be a better comparison? (other inhabitants of the universe creating an empowered a race of robot enforcers to deter Earth's aggression)

War of the Worlds features machines that lied dormant than rise up to harvest all human life.

No... War of the Worlds features aliens that come to Earth from Mars, build themselves what are basically mechs to get around in, then harvest human life and pretty much destroy Britain.
VIEW CONTENT:
They end up killed off by a virus because Mars is sterile and they have no immune system to fight off Earth's many many nasty bugs.
Edited to cover the spoiler. In case no one has actually read the book.

I suppose, at a quick glance, they are similar. But only in a very vague invasion sense. Really, any story/movie that involves an invasion that does serious damage to the world would make a decent, at-a-glance comparison.

It's a very recycled story, yet can be very successful. Just like the Romeo and Juliet story.

All things aside, I really enjoyed playing multi player tonight. Took some getting used to at the start, but I found it pretty enjoyable when the momentum got going.

so I hear a lot of complaining about the ending, but honestly, I didn't think it was that bad.
VIEW CONTENT:
I mean, it was incredibly dark, losing the relays and all means there's no hope for galactic civilization in the near future, which sucks, and while there were a lot of plotholes I had enough suspension of disbelief to look past them.

The thing is you have this entire franchise built apun choices your character made, then the game offers you 3 endings regardless of your entire journey through the trilogy.
