Re: Mass Effect 3
The problem seemed to get worse yesterday (Friday). When I played it two days ago (thursday), I got the problem maybe 20% of the time. Yesterday, it was up to like 80% of the time at the worst point.
I dunno, maybe it doesn't have anything to do with hosting games; maybe it's just straight server capacity.

I wonder if something went wrong when they opened it up to all. I haven't tried it out since the 15th? Whatever day it first went up.

I had to force myself to stop playing last night. Now I'm at work wishing I was playing ME3 instead.

I'm loving it. Like I've been telling my friends. It's like they asked me what I didn't like from ME2, then removed it. Then asked what I liked from ME1, then added it.MasterChef wrote:I had to force myself to stop playing last night. Now I'm at work wishing I was playing ME3 instead.
Long power cooldowns, rare ammo, bad companion AI all gone. Large item variety, mods, choice to use minimal weapons back.
One major problem, even though this doesn't affect me, multiplayer should not have an influence on single player.

Pretty sure I'm going to end up buying this on amazon then torrenting a cracked copy.
Sorry EA, I'm not installing Origin. It's garbage and I'm sure as hell not going to contribute to this "every publisher have their own store requiring software" nonsense.

Re: Mass Effect 3
I've been on the fence regarding ME3 for a little while because of Origin. Then I read this article that Ix showed me and that has pretty much killed off what little interest in it I still had.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Yeah, that article is a killer.... The series has been a good single player experience, and to throw in multiplayer at the end seems kind of silly to me. That said, as long as the addition doesnt take away from the single player at all, then the addition doesnt affect me and is fine....
But making people HAVE to play multiplayer to get a decent ending is just plain ridiculous. ESPECIALLY in a game that is the third in a trilogy that has thus far been single player only.
Also, I wouldnt have been aware of it if not for the article. Buying a game, playing it through, getting a crappy ending, THEN finding that you had to have played the multiplayer would have been VERY rage inducing. They probably should just outright say that you have to play the multiplayer.
Origin was bad enough, but this nonsense in addition means that I am definitely not going to throw them my cash.

Re: Mass Effect 3
Just to be extra-giant you-know-what's, EA has announced the next Sim City title coming out, with super high detailed control - only available on Origin. They sure are saving me a lot of money like this.
Dear EA,
Die in a fire.
Thanks.

EA, everything they touch, they destroy. It kills me that they picked up Maxis and Bioware.

Re: Mass Effect 3
It might be okay on console, but some people prefer it on PC, like if their saves from ME1 and ME2 are on PC, or they just don't like shooters on console.

Re: Mass Effect 3
You are free to enjoy, bioware still makes good stuff. The question is, would it be better if it wasn't corrupted by EA?
The answer is a resounding, YES!
