Oh, what with the chaos I thought it was the 40k. If not the chaos lord doesnt change much from the two lol.
[/quote]

In warhammer Chaos = ultimate evil

the gods stay the same, and more or less look of the warp (the void in which chaos reigns) legions are kinda the same except one is in metal armor and the other is in space marine armor

[table][row]Warhammer Fantasy[col]Warhammer 40K[row]High Elves[col]Eldar[row]Dark Elves[col]Dark Eldar[row]The Empire[col]Imperial Guard & Space Marines[row]Hordes and Beasts of Chaos[col]Chaos Space marines[row]Orcs[col]Space Orks[row] Dwarves[col]*No equivalent[/table]
that's pretty much the difference (there's still a ton more races I left out but yeah)

Destruction looks to be the favorite. As was horde in WoW so I think im gonna go order as well. I hate being on the side thats over popped. Makes pvp no fun.

I figure if i pick the faction thats shortsided I should never have a problem finding a challenge.

The PvP aspect of this game really turns me off. They couldn't keep the sides balanced in WoW, and, as a result, zone based PvP just didn't work; one side pretty much maintained constant control of the objectives. I hate to think how much worse it will get when with the concept of campaigns.

The game is centered around pvp rather than an after thought like wow.

Not sure how the pvp could turn you off.

Never played Warhammer (obviously) or WoW, and I can already tell im probably would be a bully, its not that I want to its just I can tell cuz when I think of those games one of the first things that always comes to mind is ambushing someone with a rogue...ah well what can I say.

yup yup, also very common, my buddy had an undead rogue and would help me in stranglethorn

And I didn't see it as bullying, I saw it as using lower levels to bring me high level fights. Oh were the fights good

There's no noob ganking in warhammer. There's 4 Tiers and you can't pvp in lower tiers. You'll turn into a chicken with 1 hit point and unable to do anything but run around.

There's still stealth but it's limited stealth and only on 1 class per realm. Lasts up to 30s at a time on a 60s timer and drains your action points.

lol awesome, thats what I wanted to be - Undead rogue.

As for the whole lvl 60 vs lvl 10 (or something like that) I actually like it. Cuz it kinda brings a bit of realisim to it.... now dont get started on a "WoW being realistic?! omgnowai" type of thing... but i mean In RL there are cool ppl and jerks, bullys and the whatnot.

Although I will say I'd be honorable enough as not to corpse camp... if I kills ya, thats that and I'll be on my way. Unless of course you did it to one of my friends or myself first...Then I'm whippin out the popout tent.

First impressions:

Never played MMO before, except goofing around with Lil SU on Pirates Online.

So far not too bad. I chose a Witch Hunter (Order) and died a few times before I figured out that I was doing things a little out of order...

The graphics are nice, although it feels a little rough compared to a game that is local. The buttons and stuff are very helpful with pop ups and what not. Everything feels pretty solid; the controls don't act buggy or anything, at least the basic ones.

I did submit some feedback in that I was fighting a wolf, and had to run away. As I was doing so, it continued to hit me even though I was vary far away; it was off the screen and to scale I would say I was maybe 100 feet away and still getting bit repeatedly :P

I'll have more later, but not much time to play today!

We'll see. I got burned on AoC. Looked super cool, but it was boring as all heck. It felt like every other fantasy MMO ever, ultra bland.

I like the Warhammer world, it's much more...mature, which helps because I usually don't dig elves and swords and junk. Give me power armor and a huge freakin' laser!

so far ive been playing the open beta religiously and tried out a majority of the classes. Have to say i enjoy it a lot and is a welcome reprieve from WoW.

So do you guys want to get something together?

Im thinking we rock Order on one of the new open RvR realms on head start this sunday.
