Re: A plea for some stats adjustments
Increasing points for blocked captures ... bad idea. I've seen a number of games on dustbowl lately that went like this: 2nd map... defenders are easily winning. 2 minutes left, someone goes "let them win, we can farm more points at the last map" then everyone goes farming on the last map.

From what I've read, you will only be able to pay for 'visual upgrades', weapons, etc. are free.
Apparently that business model is very successful in Asia.

Re: TF2 update Jan 14
Excellent, it was annoying to know that there was a Valve sponsored wallhack that worked regardless of sv_pure and sv_cheat settings.

Re: Team stacking
Actually, after playing with it a bit, I hate that it overrides your team selection. I think if this really stays, I'll start playing more on other servers where I can play with the people I want to. Reason: Every once in a while there's idiots on the server you just don't want to play with. Either ...
It's not possible to be headshotted without using the scope. If you're shot by a Sniper who isn't scoped, even if the shot hits you in the head, it will simply count as a sniper rifle kill, not a headshot.
must have been display lag then.

Re: TF2 Aimbot Released
Interesting. This goes with the increasing trend of people using sniper rifles without scoping. Got headshot a number of times today on dustbowl by a sniper from the other side of the map who didn't even go into scope mode. Ah well, they'll patch it eventually.

Re: Team stacking
Did someone change the game to randomly assign a team at the start, regardless of what you clicked? Happened a number of times today. Don't mind it, except that if I select spectator, I don't expect to get put on blue or red...

Re: Engineer on top of tower in gravel
Like most of the 'engineer goes into novel places' sentries, this one is useless as well. Like on Well it doesn't actually cover the point. Whenever I see engineers doing this (GP or Well), I switch teams because I know that there is at least on team member wasting his time and teleporters on stupid.

Re: Team stacking
I've seen teams comprised of some of the most regular players fail horribly to get out of the base in dustbowl, because they didn't have a medic or because the wouldn't sync up their attacks. Class balance seems way more important in deciding who wins than the actual people on a team, at least 90% o...
It's impressive, though I suspect somewhat flawed...I'm quite certain every time a Sapper get killed that counts as a wrench kill.

I don't think so, object kills are their own category.

What happened to gravel pit?
I played a lot of hours this week, but for some reason not once gravel pit. I haven't seen a server running it for a long while. Intentional?
This is how it looks like most of the time:

Re: Pointless
My .02$ as a game designer: Like it or not, the stats play a great role in building the community and getting people that would otherwise just play on any open server to come back and eventually engage in the community. By offering a 'persistent profile' to users, they get a reason to stick around i...

That 28 people server
really, consider moving it back to 24 people. It's lagging like crazy the last couple of days, sometimes the simulation stops for seconds at a time. While it's always fun to guess if you're still alive when it comes back, it's getting kind of annoying after a while.
